Has anyone used this item? It looks like the perfect PSK carrier. Although it says it fits in a cargo pants pocket, it looks slightly larger than the ones in 5.11 pants. Other than that, I can't find any drawbacks.

I haven't used it yet, but I've only had one grumble with anythign from SpeckOps and that was the design of the lid on the SuperSheath. Everything else I've used is fine.

I had that for a while. Tight fit in most issued bdu pants. Make you feel like you are walking around with a square metal box in your poket (lil painful on the tight and knee at first). Not really that waterproof. You have to use their wet bags for the content. I can achieve similar result with couple of ziplocks. Items in the outside pockets didn't want to stay in. Not a good product but made very nicely.

Also don't bother with the 5.11 pouch. It is also way to big and uncomfortable.

Looking for a nice rig? Try this:

I have it and I stand by it. If you want to make it waterproof just throw in few ziplocks. It sits nicely in the pockets and can fit variety of pants. Inside has nice loops for holding stuff and is pretty packable.

I second the countycomm pocket organizer. All I keep in it are some pins, paper, highlighter, lighter, and matches but I could cram in so much more. The lighter and match books stay in the outside mesh very well no problems. I am VERY pleased with it and for $10 so with the price.

Would the CountyComm one hold the contents of a PSK the size of the Doug Ritter one?

I built my FAK from one. The dry bags work better than zip locks IMHO. I have both in there and the difference is obvious. It let me organize meds in one, bandages in another, etc. I wish it was a shade thicker so a 1 or 2 oz. bottle of betadine would fit, but oh well.
