Well not quite, but close. Between the main course and dessert the lights went out. And it was dark I mean dark. I was at my in-laws and I wasn't as familiar with the layout of the house as I would be in my own house. Well no problem I pulled out my Peak 3LED AAA light and presto we had light. A minute later the lights were back on. I immediately went to my bag and grabbed a few more flashlights and gave them out just in case.

My wife jokes about it but seeing is believing, especially when it?s dark out.

Oh, man, I thought you were going to say the electric carving knife wouldn't work, so you used your pocket chainsaw on the turkey! I have a single led Matterhorn, which made a nice candle during a recent blackout. Love that snow-white led.

I thought about taking out my BK-7 from my BOB to carve the turkey, I bet that would have raised some eyebrows.

Anyone EDC a titanium gravy boat? Me? I keep one hanging on my belt at all times during the holiday season. Think me crazy? Hey, c'mon folks, you can boil water in it, for crying out loud!

Be honest now, how many times at the Thanksgiving get-together have you overhead the wives say, "I knew I shoulda brought an extra gravy boat from home". That's my cue to stride into the kitchen, untie the 50' of paracord that I've wrapped around the gravy boat in a pattern that makes it look like some piece of aboriginal basketry, give it a quick blow to get the lint and dust bunnies out, and dinner is served!

OK, that's enough Turkey day humor for me. Over and out. Way out.

I read the tittle "EDC carry saved Thankgiving Dinner" and imediately thought you'd revived the turkey back to life with your EDC kit medical supplies.
