I like the podcast idea and I enjoyed listening to it. I hope that offering this kind of information in a slightly different way will interest people who otherwise wouldn't read the website or dig through forum threads.

Gee, Doug, now we'll all have to start EDC'ing a portable music player so we can always have this kind of valuable info available to us no matter where disaster strikes! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

So...how much paracord and duct tape can comfortably be wrapped around an iPod Nano...? <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Thanks much. Most of these, at least initially, will come for pages on the ETS site. In this case, it was that specific page, with a little extra added that I added back into the page. In other cases, it won't be so clear cut. And in some cases, like the interviews and such, it obviously won't be. Unless I get someone to volunteer to transcribe the podcasts (HINT, HINT!), we can't offer transcriptions, as nice as that would be to have. Simply costs too much or way too much time, especially as slow as I type, <g> for me to do myself.

Thanks for the compliment. There was more in the podcast than on the original 72-Hour Kit page. Afterwards, I added all the new stuff back into the page.

I enjoyed it too. It takes less efforts to listen to it than read it on a screen. And it's good for my english pronunciation especially when I read along with the transcript. Now I know how to pronounce Mylar and LED for exemple... (I would say "lead" before)

Thank you.

With a flashlight attachment (they have those already) and a ruggedized case?

It's too obvious that you're reading a script...and it's monotone.
