Not exactly where I'd expect to see it, but seems the editors of Penthouse have more interest in their readers' well-being than those at the outdoor magazines that seem to have pretty much ignored the Pocket Survival Pak.

"This may be the most important gift you'll ever give...Bonus: Save someone's life and they'll get you a way bigger present next year."

From Penthouse Holiday Gift Guide, December 2005 issue, page 96

Or an image of the entire page (232 KB): http://www.dougritter.com/dec_ph_giftguide_page96.jpg

Remember, these make a great holiday gift and a portion of the sales support ETS Foundation, this web site and this forum.

Will our wives kill us for looking at this? In other words, is it shown being held by (ahem) models?

Hey, this is a family friendly place. <g> Not a female in sight, let alone one in any state of undress.

I wonder what their saying about the PSP in their Forum.

"I never thought it would happen to me, but ...."

Isn't that how most all survival stories start??

He just reads it for the articles, of course!

I noticed in the photo that they also pictured something that looks like the Miss A kit, but for men. Instead of magenta, it's black. Go figure.

I have already given a few close male friends their own PSPs. This just goes to show that I am way cooler than Penthouse: I've been giving guys what they need for awhile now... Wait, that's not what I mean!

I can see some fresh cross promotional prospects here.
I can see the sales going up and up especially if Doug can negotiate a personalised delivery service for the ETS PSP ...
ie Pet of The Month to your door

RE: The PSP in Penthouse
It's probably the most worthwhile gift on the page, though sometimes I admit I wonder about having my work on a portable hard drive like that iomega if I ever have to Bug Out.

Well... I guess I could make sure that I was well manicured in a survival situation with the Metrosexual Army Knife... LOL

Plus, I have replaced all my condoms for Gerber milk bags

I"ve been wondering it myself.

Although, I was somewhat... disappointed. The PSP is just sitting there, all alone....

OK, Ritter, if Sue Johannsen pulls one of your PSP's out of her 'Hot Stuff' bag on her TV show, I'm cancelling my ETS subscription!

Oh, yea. I don't have a subscription. But if I did......

This brings back the line uttered by the immortal Slim Pickins in 'Dr. Strangelove', while doing an inventory of his issue survival kit: "Shoot, a guy could have a good time in Vegas with this!".

.....CLIFF

You can buy enclosures for your hdd for less that $20. When I replaced the one in my laptop I bought one and stuck it in.
Watch out for iomega stuff, their products have always bitten people who used them, wouldn't think they could screw up something as simple as a hdd enclosure but you never know.

Yeah, I'm a little nervous about Iomega myself after one particular incident... Click Death... Ughhh.

I've not bought anything from them since.

I've seen a lot of people loose a lot of data due to zip drives or their tape drives or their buggy windows drivers messing up their windows os.
An external USB case is $20 or less now. I have a few with different drives in them
