I'm looking for two containers, but I can't find anything that fits my needs. It has to be robust and waterresistant, or better, waterproof. They both need to be 3"x7.5", and either 1" or 3" deep.

Anyone have any ideas?

I've made some almost exactly like what you are looking for out of PVC pipe. You seal one end, and put a screw on cap on the other end. They sell special cement for putting on the end pieces, and you can cut the tubes to length with a hand saw. It's very easy and inexpensive.

Malpaso beat me to it. Also, I think they are fishing pole cases? I just saw some today on the far wall at a sporting goods place, but didn't investigate them, but they were in the fishing section.

Based on your measurements, the 3 inch PVC will be a little harder to come by...but I don't think you ever specified that it could be round...and a 6 ft plus piece of 3" PVC filled will be a little hard to manage..or did you mean 7.5 inches instead of 75?

So what you are looking for is a square container that is 3 inches wide, 6 ft+ long and 1 to 3 inches deep?

I was recently gifted a quantity of older ammo pouches from a friend who is switching totally to MOLLE gear, and the 30 round M16-type magazine is about 7.5"x3"x1".

Oh, wow, oops, I did typo the 7.5 inches. <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I use a number of Pelican Micro Cases. www.pelican.com/cases/cases.html
The 1030 model is similar dimentions to what you are looking for.
They are one tough little case.
The other tough waterproof cases I use are Ultimate Survival cases. They are made by Otterbox and rebadged as Ultimate Survival. I cant see any sized as close to what you want as the Pelican Micro Case though.

Are they top flap magazine pouches that will allow you a little extra height or is 7.5" the limit?

If so, you could try the Otter Cigar Caddy 3400

Or if the width can be fudged a little you could try the Pelican Micro 1030 (Couldn't get a direct link. Go to Micro Case Series)

A little short, but maybe this Case for Glasses
