Question, a whistle is seen universally on kit lists for signal purposes. If you can whistle loud enough to make your ears ring with your fingers, do you need to carry a whistle?

I guess if you can guarantee that your fingers will work all the time, or you dont need them to stop the blood gushing from a wound while trying to attract attention or something similar, you dont need a whistle. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Rapidly tap your little finger on your thumb. If you don't have the manual dexterity to do it, you're succumbing to hypothermia. Now try putting your fingers together to whistle. Same problem.
