Found a few tins that may or may not be new for PSK's. I just recently saw an Altoids tin with a slide top. It is very thin and may not hold much but it would hold it securely and would be so small that you WOULD carry it every day.

The other one was of the same type of slide top (both slid off of one end) and I saw it at Walmart by the register. It was a gift card 'case' for you to put the gift card into. It kind of made it look like a wrapped gift....they had many different styles....all decorated and all had a 'hoder' for the card. If you took the holder out then you would have a lot more room than if you left it in. Also a carry every day since it is so compact.

CJK,

Here's a post on Knifeforums by one of our ETS members who used the small Altoids container:

Thanks for posting the link for me Joe. A couple of things about the the Altoids Smalls tin. The lid dented quite easily. Its still functional, but I thought that might be important to somebody here. I don't know if it dents easier than other tins though becuase this is my first tin based kit. Also, if you try to overload the tin, the lid tends to want to pop off the body of the tin. I solved this by wrapping the tin with a Ranger band.

I just picked up one of the Smalls Altoids tins. I've been thinking that it might be good for back up fire making tools. I think of the Star Trek world, where they talk about important systems on their ships being triple redundant. Back ups for the back ups as it were.

All of the things listed on the knifeforums post were in the Smalls tin? I was thinking more like one of the Altoids chewing gum tins, but I'm super impressed if all that fit in the Smalls tin!

Yeah, but there isn't a single UPS, breaker, or manual backup for the doors on any ship since the Constitutions, and presumably the Mirandas. Bad Starfleet, no mechanical overrides with big levers for people with muscles to reef on in an emergency.
