The 140's are water resistent but not quite water proof. They will take being dropped into a puddle but I wouldn't take one swimming.

they are about 2" in diameter and 10" long. I can get you the exact measurements in the morning. Plus they come in colors so you can pack the red one with fire making supplies and the blue one with water collection supplies.

I have a friend who is like me and into geocaching. He carries a large backpack with everything under the sun in it and alot of parts are in 140 round tubes.
