a whole bunch of people must have jumped on this one -- of course, they sent the announcement to their whole mailing list -- I think I got my order in before they sold out -- maybe they didn't have that many to start with

It is not bait and switch. I have collected Surefires for sometime, and have seen how they do business. It was a few they found in a discontinued stock, and decided to liquidate them. If anyone is really interested in one of these at full price I can provide a link to a website that still has a few. No it is not mine.
