The ACR has for lack of a better term has, HIGHER BACK PRESSURE, meaning I can blow on it longer on one full breath. For all practical purposes they are each about the same in loudness. SAWS, I have to give the nod to saws available on the Victorinox brand Swiss army knives (SAK). One Christmas I tried to use my BCB wire saw to trim a few branches on my tree with very poor results, it was very prone to binding. Switching to a SAK with a saw made short work of the same job. While backpacking/day hiking I always carry a Victorinox SAFARI or a “Farmer like SAK” with main blade and saw only with metal scales.
