It sounds like you are at risk for a terrorist attack.
It seems to me that if you are a frequent flier and spend a lot of time in office buildings and airplanes you need an evacuation kit more than a PSK. If your plane crashes or your building has an event, you will have rescuers there quickly.
Here is my building escape kit I keep in my cube: SureFire G2, Fox 40 whistle, bottles of water, goggles, dust mask, snap light, and ThyroSafe. For you I would add a pair of leather gloves and a small first-aid kit with burn treatment items.
I know the best advice when flying is to know the number of seats to the exits. You may need to count the seats by feel in blinding smoke. The leather gloves may save your hands from being burned or cut. If you are in a collapsed building the whistle may be your best bet to let someone know where to dig, to get you out. If you can move the SureFire will cut through the dust to help you find an exit.
