Wild Weasel,

Great picture! I need to get a digital camera.

That is a good merging of the BCB and the Ritter PSP. The 6 areas you have to cover are: fire, first-aid, navigation, shelter, signaling, and water. It looks like all the areas are well covered except maybe shelter. If it was me I would put the Ritter PSP cord back in there to tie a branch for the main support for a debris hut shelter. There may be no trees with lower branches to set the main support branch on. Maybe the thread would work. Do you think the BCB whistle is louder than the Ritter Fox 40 Micro? I was under the impression the Fox 40 was the loudest whistle next to the Storm. I like the SparkLite but I don’t fully trust it. I would put a BSA Hot Spark or some small ferro rod in there.

The real question is: is it small enough that you really carry it every time you go off pavement? I have abandoned tins and just carry mini PSK items loose in my pockets. I don’t carry as good a selection of items as you have in your BCB tin.

Have you thought of carrying a pocket knife with a saw blade? The SAK Farmer is very popular. I have one, the saw is excellent.
