In a way, I can't believe someone actually thought of this... in another way, I am not surprised

"Coffin" is the first word that popped into my mind, too.

Just be sure to put on your good clothes before getting into it.

Wonder if it includes a "warning/caution tag" for claustrophobics?

Aside from all the coffin jokes...did anyone else notice that it has to be placed on a concrete foundation and must have access to a power supply? Ok, if the electricity is what is going to open this thing up..and in a Tornado, Hurricane or Earthquake..the power is the first thing to go...man I would not want to be in there. Hopefully there is a manual opening feature...hopefully.

I am claustraphobic. The first thought I had when I saw that.. thing was "I'm not going to die in one of those!"

Dark, stuffy, hot, and you can touch the walls in all three axis. They will find people who aren't normally claustrophobic by giving them panic attacks with that thing.

I hope it's got an oxygen supply, otherwise it will be a coffin

It looks like it is made of wood. It does not look bullet proof. Also, there is no bathroom. Does is come with Depends? I need to get up and walk around. It would drive me nuts!

It looks like something Dr. Evil would have in an Austin Powers movie. All they need to do is add a small motor, wheels and a joystick. Then you too can sit in traffic in the comfort and security of your mobile coffin.

Is there a twin sized version? With a chemical attack, I think you'd want your kids to have one. Of course, the only way to communicate would be with the radio.

Plus, how many husbands would really want to be stuck in that thing with their wife during an emergency?

I can remember during a hurricane my mom telling my dad "How can you be so calm at a time like this?". My dad simply replied; "The windows are boarded up, we have food, we have water, the electricity is out, but we're okay and in case you didn't notice that the Hurricane outside is a natural event, and those events are controlled by a God. Last time I checked, I don't think you considered me a God. There is nothing more I can do."

I wouldn't buy one, but I'm not surprised someone thought of it.

It's the evolution of the coffin. Rather than storing the dead, it houses the living.

It's sort of a lifeboat, but it's a box. It's a Lifebox for Two.

Count me out. Wait -- does it get cable?

Who's to say Elvis isn't lurking in an optional hidden compartment.

Is there a place for the monsters that hide under my regular to stay?

Maybe its an optional extra.

They could put separate little boxes underneath on little wheels for easy access. .... Deluxe upgrade: 1 box for each monster. Ecconomy upgrade: 1 big box for the lot.

Then they will need access to haunt during a disaster so there needs to be extra hatchways under the matress

I need one of these in the shape of a chair that I can take on the subway.
