Ack! Interesting site, but they don't air in my area - darn! I'd like to watch at least that show.

I knew a couple of guys (one only by name) who flipped over landing on a gravel bar (Alaska) and bent the bejabbers out of the prop... by the time the SAR guys (CG, IIRC, Chris) found them a couple days later, they had the plane up right, dragged to a hail-mary take-off position, and the prop off. They requested (and got!!!) a big hammer lowered to them... leaned the prop against a driftwood log and beat the tips more or less back into shape.

Plane shook like a dog sh - never mind; it shook badly - hard to believe that the prop tips didn't fly off... anyway, they got back OK.

I flew around a bit with one of them for a couple of years - he never flew again with the other guy as far as I know. OTOH, I should have picked my partner a little better, 'cause he DID put us into a really hairy place one time - but I was young and foolish; he had a plane, and I didn't. Good thing I had a machete with me or I'd still be there... truthfully, he was a heck of a pilot. (Now I'm just foolish, LoL).

Not everything should be repaired in the bush, eh?

Regards,

Tom
