With all these posts about watches I decided to check out Seiko models. They are supposed to be good analog watches and they are also good looking since I'm also interested in job interview survival and public reaction. And with nice features like sapphire crystal and all that, yet still at an affordable price (under $500). But I'd like to know which line you would rather go with. There's Perpetual Calendar, Kinetic, Automatic or a simple Sports model with no date and less expensive. I know the Kinetic collection never needs a battery but if the mechanism is going to break after 4 years as it happened to Frenchy, I'd rather change the battery than send it for repair.
