Where do you want to go on ETS?

I recently purchased an expensive ($500) pre-built medical kit but I want to supplement it with pharmaceuticals, both prescription and OTC. What are the must-have prescriptions for long-term medical kits (other than, obviously, any regular prescription taken by somebodyin my family)?

Second, I want all family members up to date on vaccinations. Some are obvious like DPT and Hep A. Are there others?

Thanks.

Vaccination recommendations are somewhat dependent upon where you plan on living and/or visiting (vacation, bug-out, etc.). As many carry significant side effects, they are not without risk and should be based upon a risk/benefit analysis. You can go to the CDC website CDC and look up what vaccinations, medication and risks factors exist for most areas of the world. You can also contact your personal physician, who should have an idea of your relative health status and the risks associated for your situation. Another option is to contact your public health department, many offer travel clinics and can provide the necessary vaccinations, travel medications/prescriptions and/or recommendations.

Just curious - where did you get the kit, and if you don't mind - what's in it?

As a Doc, I received the Smallpox vaccine last spring. Our hospital is close to a military AirForce base, so some of us got vaccinated in order to help active duty who also got vaccinated if they had adverse reactions. I thought that after the 1st wave of vaccines were given, the Gov would open up vaccine opportunity to the general pop. Not sure, though.
