There were some members here questioning my motives in other threads.

I assure you I want to learn everything I can related to survival.

If I ask something you personally don't have to answer if it offends you or is too personal.

If you can understand I'm just here to learn and make some friends and enjoy life as a prepared person then we'll get along a lot better.

Thanks to those of you who DID offer up good clothing suggestions.

To the others, I tip my hat, but don't think we'll get along.

Cheers all!

Yours in EQ,
LIVESTRONG

Take all the slack you like

Im sure you will fit in as others get to know you and you get to know others.

I noticed you have only registered a few days ago so let me be the one of the first to say Welcome.

People who are prepared tend to be aware of their surroundings (i.e. paranoid), that way we are not taken by surprise by people or by events. For some it is the result of military training. For others it is innate. We welcome your questions and answering them is often a good exercise/revision for us. It helps us find weaknesses in our own preparation and stimulates valuable discussion among the more experienced, a win-win for everyone.

How ever if we knew a little bit more about you, it would be easier to help. There are board members from all over the world so an Aussies’ preparations are going to be different from a Canuks’. Even in the States, an Arizonian will not pack like the Alaskan!

Take the time to fill in a few lines in your profile. You don’t need to be specific. It just makes it easier to target our responses.

what frankspinz said and some times it can just be a bad first impression on both side. I wouldn't sweat it. I think you will fit in just fine.

Your slack has been cut, oops

Just kidding.

Don't be too serious about it here. I have stepped in it a couple times and had some good, strong debates and "agree to disagree" exhanges, and we still just go to the next. If you decide to become a regular here, I don't see as you would have a problem with anyone here, Randjack included

You'll get the hang of tailoring your questions more I think in time. It's always a little more difficult stepping into a new gendre with it's own personality per say. Hope to see you posting often
