I think the federal government needs to come up with a better way to warn people. I think the new name should convey exactly what it's supposed to do. It would improve the existing system that the NWS uses, combined with other technologies. It would be named:
Office of Homeland Security Hazardous Incident Terminology Rapid Uniform Notification

Of course the polititians would meantion that the O.H.S.H.I.T.R.U.N. staff where all Specially Highly Intensly Trained in the newly developed Complete Responce Action Program
In the Lending Library there is a thread on the "How to Sh*t in the woods". Apparently kids these days can't figure out that if you have 3 consanants in English, you need at least 1 vowel.
If it's inappropriate, the thread should be deleted.

While I agree this is a "family" site and kid friendly. The acronym isn't that bad. While a lot of us (hopefullly) wouldn't use bad language in front of children, go to any school playground and you will hear much worse than what is posted here.

Originally, the U.S. considered another name for the TSA: it was supposed to be called the Federal Aviation Transportation And Security Service, but the acronym would have been embarassing.
Any little kid that can look at a list of "grown up" words and know to take the first letter of each and make a new set of words is more than old enough to be saying those words where you can't hear them.
