I read this book and love it very much. I got it out of the Public Library but probably could be bought. It is easy, entertaining reading, and a good survival story, even if the guy was not really prepared. I don't know if everything is true, but you will gain some good confirmation on the need to have a minimal survival kit ALWAYS with you specially if you plan to visit some wild places. I would love to hear from anybody that read the book and his/hers commentaries.

This book is much easier to find if you use the correct title "Back From Tuichi". Author: Yossi Ghinsberg. Amazon has it. (used is cheap) Sounds good. I may pick up a copy, however, other things compete for funds. Thanks for the tip.

Stand corrected, the title is "Back from Tuichi". When I did this posting I did not have the book in front of me and my memory is not that great. Thank you for the correction, and I am sure you will enjoy it. Please let me know after you finish reading it how did you like it.

I got a copy from the public library. This is an amazing story. The stuff this guy goes through! The author is lost in the jungle of Bolivia for approx. 3 weeks. He suffers from sore feet, impaled on a stick, starved, many bee stings & ant bites, nearly drowned, plus one mosquito type bug that injects eggs under his skin. This book is a good example of willpower & perseverance carrying the day.
