No, Daniel Boone. Died west of St. Louis in 1820. Buried beside wife Rebecca, both disinterred and bodies removed to permanent resting place in Frankfort, Kentucky. Some argue that they didn't really get ol' Dan'l and that he and Rebecca still repose in Missouri. Who knows? And BTW, FWIW, he NEVER wore a coonskin cap. Sorry, Fess, but it's true. Also said he never got lost in his wilderness travels BUT he remembered once "being terribly bewildered" for three days.
