I've heard somewhere that in an extreme survival situation it is possible to recycle urine into safe drinking water. Has anyone else heard this or know how it is done?

Only thing I know of is distillation....ie. solar still. Other than that I have no idea.

I think it's the same as seawater. You can make a solar still or gather the steam of the boiling liquid on a thick cloth and ring out the water, etc.
