I have seen kel-tec talked about here, but does any have any first hand experiance with kel-tec products? I personaly like and want a SU-16 I want a rifle that will fold and hold a small amount of ammo. This seems to fit my needs. [drool]

They're innovative, but of cheap construction. On the other hand, they're not expensive. I would pay twice the price if they were produced with quality as a priority, because some of the designs are unsurpassed in other respects (weight/size/power of P3AT for example).

They are OK - if you're looking for a low-cost, high value weapon, consider hi-point. Both Kel-tec and Hi-Point are guns for the "everyman".
I just got a Yugo SKS with a folding stock - that's pretty good too, not as compact, but good.

We have a review in the works. Bottom line...good choice if it is the right caliber for your needs.

My cousin owns one. Not sure if it's the same model or not but it accepts his hand-gun mags from his duty weapon. Folds in half the same. Don't know much about them but it appears the've adopted some features from the (Stoner)
M-16. Convenient that it accepts the readily avail. M-16 mags, the best part is the feature they didn't adopt from the M-16

Indeed. Given some of the complaints about their P3AT and P32, they could use some competition....

I have a Kel-Tec 9mm handgun. Got it cheap. It has held up for the past 10 years to my abuse. You can see it in the photo below of my arsenal. It is right below the hand grip on my M4.

I dont know about the SU-16 but I owned a Kel-Tec P11 for couple years and while it was not the most accurate pistol I have owned in that size, it functioned more reliably than several handguns I have owned that cost 4 times as much or even more. After thousands of factory rounds (including Rem factory reloads) I don't recall a single FTF or FTE.
