I thought I would post up and inform everyone that after ~500 'blasts' with my blasmatch the striker part (small piece) went flying off and yielded he blastmatch useless to me.

This was a great reminder as to WHY we carry multiple tools in the aiding of fire starting.

Correct, so one should always carry a backup striker.
