I found gas after reading WFTV's Pump Patrol forum. $3.19 for regular, they were out of mid grade and premium.

I just tried to mail order some gas cans and a locking gas cap (good suggestion KyBooneFan). I tried 4 or 5 places (in order of familiarity / popularity) before finding a site that appears to have them in stock.

" Cheaper Than Dirt " has been advertising some good looking French military gas cans (new) for some time at a reasonable price. Be sure and get the matching flexible nozzle.

CORRECTION on my earlier post on Cheaper Than Dirt gas cans. They are ISRAELI, not FRENCH. Sell for $19.97. I cannot determine if they are metal or plastic. I suspect they are metal as I see what appears to be weld joints around the handle. Search site for item ZAA-090. Says uses "standard" fuel nozzles whatever that is. web page

Heh. Wondered about that. The French cans looked old.. rusty.

Recommend a good place to buy Sta-Bil?

Groo, i live in the suburbs of Orlando and gas this morning was 2.89 when i filled the car. Went to Deleon Springs (north of Deland) this morning and as i was driving there were places where several stations in a row were out of gas but within a few miles there were places with fuel. What i did notice was the the further i made it from greater Orlando area the price of gas went from 2.89-2.99 to 3.09-3.19. And there was no shortage of cars on the road.

This was over by UCF, which I'm hoping had something to do with it.

I just bought a bottle of Sta-Bil yesterday at WalMart. Cost 9.36, enough to treat 80 gallons. Or one ounce treats 2 1/2 gallons. Also works with diesel fuel. They have a smaller size but ounce for ounce, the larger is the best buy.

I wonder what you have to put in Sta-Bil to keep it fresh.

On the way home yesterday, I saw gas between $2.99 & $3.19 per gallon. One of the stations @ 3.19 is next door to a station & within 2-3 blocks of 2 other stations stations @ 2.99.

In central Ohio today (Saturday 9/3), reg. gasoline is down to 2.98 most places. It was $3.09 from Wednesday - Friday.

Went to my usual BP yesterday here in Chicago and it was out of gas. Saw later on the news another BP out of gas. They were the cheapest around at $3.19. I drove past another place a few blocks away for $3.69 then ran into one at $3.39 where I filled up. Driving around looking for stocked gas stations and better prices is getting pricey!
