Does anyone find sleeping with their partner in mated mummy bags uncomfortable? I've slept in mated rectangular bags, and a borrowed mummy bag separately, and they were fine. I've found a couple of mateable mummy bags that I'm interested in, but I'm not sure of investing to save space (they collapse down smaller than a queen-sized bag, and would presumably be warmer) if the experience is uncomfortable. I need to upgrade the rectangular bags, anyway, since they are tattered hand-me-downs by now.

I was house sitting once and the owner's lonely Rottwieller somehow wiggled inside my down mummy bag during the night. I think my toenails were longer than his <img src="/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />. Mateable bags are a very usefull survival option. 'Snuggling' with a hypothermic victim to provide vital body heat is very effective. Many bags are produced with this feature. My Wiggy 2 bag system is one. I would say it comes down to how fond you are of your partner- snoring,tossing and turning, halitosis at 4 A.M.? Or is he a rottweiller who loves peppermint candies and a sound sleeper <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />? Do you have any nocturnal habits? I'm going to say it isn't always peachy- after three days in the fireld and gettign gamey, well, you won't notice becuase you wuld spmell the same probably.

However, having dated a self-admited, agressive blanket thief I can't say it was all that bad.
