John, I'd want one for my briefcase (which I consider EDC) and one for my BOB. The Princeton Tec Attitude is on my belt pouch with the larger one in my briefcase as a backup.

I was looking through a small town hardware store when I spotted them. You might want to try there.- Dave.

Ok. Price range? Are you dead set on AA batteries?

You might consider the Streamlight Jr Luxeon.

Looking for a bag with screen over the opening ? A Bivy bag is a great choice, but not a cheap one http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_listi...D=1126142861390 .

Also there are a lot of new tents/shelters out there with modular components.

A separate mosquito net is a great thing to have handy. Lightweight and cheap to buy. http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_listi...D=1126143411670

Hope this gives you some ideas ...

I have a Rat3 in D2 and a Rat7 in 1095. After using both knives, I find they I may be happiest with a Tak 1 in 1095. I really like the 1095. I have been digging holes in hard dry rocky dirt with my Rat 7 and not a single chip in the blade that can be seen with the naked eye. The 1095 does need to be sharpened a heck of a lot more than the D2 though, but I could never do the things with the D2 that I have been doing with the 1095. If I did I am pretty sure the D2 would be all but ruined at this point <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
