Are there any restrictions I should know about with regards to shipping some of the items seen here in the continental US?
It contains a lighter, chemicals (water purification tablets), some over the counter medicine, sharps, and so on...

USPS gets nervous about matches, not sure about the lighter. I know they don't care about your sparklite or your sharps. FedEx and UPS... Dunno. I bet they would like to know about the matches, though.

I don't think it would be a problem. Just pack it real well. That's assuming it's sent entirely within the US, not from or to another country. Domestic packages are almost never inspected, especially small ones like that. And I'm not aware of any regulations about shipping anything there, except maybe the lighter, which you could leave out (just get another one at the destination, they're cheap).
