Here's a few photos of my Maxpedition Condor kit at this time. Seems like I'm always changing something. Comments welcome! (Note: Not shown is the eTrex Legend GPS, cell phone, and Leatherman Wave, all of which would probably be added for a trip.) Here is the lower compartment: Contents - Fisher space pen, Rite in the Rain notepad, Benchmade mini-Griptilian, small survival kit in an AMK zippered pouch, red bandanna, emergency poncho, and 550 para cord: Here is the upper compartment: Contents - MPI Space Bag, Petzl Tikka Plus, Suunto MC2G compass: Here is the inside compartment: Contents - Extra socks / underwear / wicking t-shirt / TP (in Ziploc bag), gloves, two 0.5L bottles of spring water, local map, Moonstone pullover jacket (in Ziploc bag), NATO matches / small fishing kit / surveyor's tape (and needles and thread), 4 x AA lithium batteries & 3 x AAA lithium batteries, and AMK first aid kit.

Very Nice. It looks like you still have plenty of room left? I ordered the FatBoy S type that should be here Thursday or Friday according to ship conf. Those bags look rugged. I've been using a small (inconspicuous) Craftsman tool bag for some time. I've had a little time off work and have been going through and inventorying all my gear, mags, and ammo. Found a few items I forgot I had

Yeah Ced, What type of case is that your first aid kit is in inside the baggie?

The FAK is an Adventure Medical Kits "Solo" kit. If I remember right, I bought it at REI. The survival kit is also in a second "Solo" pouch, but I pulled the first aid contents out for another kit. That left me with the empty pouch which seems to be just the right size for a backpack pocket or even a cargo pocket. (Plus, a pint-sized Ziploc freezer bag can cover the pouch *perfectly*.) http://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/products/KIT_w_mou_solo.htmI also like the look of AMK's "Ultralight" series which comes with some Aloksak bags that I have yet to try. Hmm... the search for the eternal PSK container continues...

I am sorry to say that I am with Frenchy. I got a Condor, and had to return it because the belt was unusable to me. I nver thought I was particularly long bodied, but it just did not get any wieght onto my hip bones.
But very strangely, and contrary to anything I would have expected, I tried on a commercial medium ALICE [Tactical Tailor 'Malice 2'] which without any trouble at all, fits, does not move, and carries a lot of stuff.
That being said, my EDC is a shoulder bag or a Fat Boy. The pack is serious.

The MALICE clips rotted? What kind of enviroment? I've had MALICE clips since Tactical Tailor first marketed them, never had a problem.

I see you have a Petzl Tikka, but no redundancy?? Just a thought, I TRY to always have two of the most important survival items, and a light is definitely one of my most important survival items.

Yeah, your humidity will be a lot worse than mine. I've had mine out at my most unfavorite temp (-40) and they are fine, but nothing.
I'm suprised though- MALICE clips are a synthetic rubber, so I would think that the nylon in MOLLE/PALS webbing would rot as well in that condition.
