Im driving out to meet a potential client with an insane horse today after lunch. With gas $3.00 a gallon, I'm driving like Lindberg crossing the Atlantic. The stretch I was on has allready seen 3 train wrecks of which I assisted at two. So I'm driving S-L-O-W behind a minivan behind an equally slow car, slow being 55 MPH. The van decided to pass the car and make a left turn. Unfortunately, there was another van approaching. I got to watch the van become airborne and eject the occupants while calling on driving reflexes belonging to the 18 y/o I used to be. I'm to old for 4 wheel drifts. We found one person alive and administered aid until the CHiPs and ambulances arrived. 7 dead, 2 adults and the children ranging from infants to I think an 11 y/o. When the CHP had the accident scene secured and my witness report I came home. I saw easilly 5 other potentially accident causing idiot stunts in the 15 minute drive. I was thinking of the idiot stunts I'm guilty of Take a deep breath and a few extra minutes out there people

Chris,
That's an awful thing to have to witness. I'm glad you managed to avoid being a more involved party in the accident. The survivor is lucky that you have enough knowledge and compassion to stop and give aid.

I know you have been part of many rescues, etc. but take special care of yourself over the next few days or weeks.

Chris,
You and I have both been to fatal wrecks. You know it's time to sit back a while. Dead kids - that's the hardest. Remember to let it out somehow, otherwise it kills you.
