Have been lurking for awhile and thought it was about time that I "officially" join in. I have some experience in emergency preparedness and am always interested in good useful information about it. My wife endured Hurricane Charley with both kids (and the cat) in a closet while I was at work (medic). We learned A LOT. I'd like to think that I have a few good ideas too. Looking foward to joining in the conversations.
hum .... wife, kids and a cat in a closet, during a hurricane .....!!??!! which one was the more affraid ...?? <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
I was....as I couldn't be there to help them.....My wife had her hands full and handled it much better than I could have. Here I was at work "helping" people who, for the most part, didn't really need it ( some funny, some stupid) We learned A LOT about preparation. Some things that I should have known better about.....others that I just thought wouldn't be a problem but were.
