Anyone got any emergency tips that no one's ever really thought of like:<br>1. Special Ops are told that urine can be used as an emergency antiseptic for rashes from poison ivy, poison oak or jelly fish.<br>2. A little bit of your own hair can be used as a fishing lure in an emergency.<br>3. Water tanks (or the water within rather) can insulate against some forms of radiation.<br>I'd like to start a thread where everyone pitches in a tip or two for the good of the group.<br><br>

Clothing;Unless pants are tucked into boots or under gaitors(recommended for ticks)cut off the hems.In brush a torn pair of pants is better than a torn leg.Flat laces will lock the knot better than round.A large bandanna is a bandage,sling,water filter,signal flag,sun protection(french foriegn legion Kepi) and if silk will magnetize a needle for compass.If you actually wear one,they are wonderfull to increase body warmth.<br><br>
