Welcome to the forum. I stopped carrying a lighter in my EDC since I don't smoke. I rely on a BSA Hotspark in the event I need to start a fire. I live in the suburbs and I am trying not to get too soft. I was thinking about getting some hexamine fuel but I don't think I will need it soon and was wondering about the life span of it. Thanks for the insight.

Hey you live near me!

Re the lighter and refilling, I was given one of these
for Christmas and it is excellent, but more to the point it has a clear base so you can see how full it is.
