I recently heard that movie has some success in the States.

If you have not seen it yet and want to see some survivors at work, go ahead...

Bonus : the movie in itself is quiet nice, the original sound track is OK too...

And "bravo" to the "actors" (amazing animals ....!!)

P.S. : usual disclaimer ! I don't gain anything if you buy a theater ticket .... I just liked it.

Oh yeah, I definitely want to see it, mainly because I have a strong interest in animals.

I loved "Winged Migration," too, and was really surprised at how much drama the director could create with the "actors." I mean, it could've been just like a show on Discovery Channel, but it was wonderful.

On this morning's news, I heard the movie has been modifiied for the US audience :
- Natinal Geographic added a lot of "documentary" commentary and replaced some more poetic comments ...
- The original soundtrack also seems to have been replaced ...

So.... I don't really know what you girls and guys will see/hear .... I guess all this reinforce the documentary aspect of the movie.
Too bad for poetry ...

Anyway, those "birds" are real survivors .... and their way of life is quite fascinating.

-the US version has only one narrator as opposed to original version where different actors "played" different parts
-the US version has a more conservative soundtrack as opposed to cosmic/techno/more brave approach that France had

Blah. Sometimes I feel like i have a big brother who makes a decision that my IQ is not high enough to comprehend and value something. Let us take care of that comrade just in case you get some crazy ideas from the land of the dragons. Oh well I get the french version soon. I grew up on Gandarme and Louis DeFinnes (sp) movies and find French language very beautiful. Well or english spoken with french accent. Or french wine... Or french perfume... Or french fries... Ah make a note to yourself: do not post after working 24 hrs straight. Oui.

IIRC, in the french version, there are a narrator, then a man (speaking for the males) and a woman (giving a voice to the females)

And the music is quite nice, composed and played by a young french woman.

The overall impression is more of a interesting, somewhat dramatic story than of a scientific documentary.
