My experience with this kind of thing :

I tried an Eagle Creek ankle pouch for a few months :
- the velcro links were rapidly out of business...
- when it's hot, you perspire a lot and even if frequently washed, the pouch rapidly stings !
- it was OK in the concealment department

I guess if made out of other materials it may be fine.
