Sorry ! I could not resist the pun.
Reading all your posts about TSA behavior, I'm wondering :
- the "efficiency" aspect is one thing ; one may agree or disagree with this kind of procedures and their capacity to really prevent new attacks. That's more of a political position.
- but the "stealing" part is more difficult to accept : that's outright theft and nothing seems to be done to correct this problem inside the TSA administration (if that's what TSA is).
I mean ... that kind of behavior is commonplace in third world countries, where corruption prevails and where employees may not have other means to make a living... but in the U.S.A. ?!?
Or are the thefts only a rare occurence (due to a "normal" proportion of dishonest employees ...) and the fact that only malcontent posters recall their problems on this forum just make things look worse than they are ?? <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Are there any credible statistics available ?
BTW : just asking ; no intent to hurt anyone's feelings...
