I am sitting here thinking about putting together a dental kit. I was at Rite-Aid and saw a denture repair kit and something for loose fillings, Anyone have any recommendations on what to put in it?

You can do a search and find the old thread, it's been well covered. PM me if you can't find it and I'll repost what I have.

Good idea Keith. It's gonna have to be customized for your individual needs. If you have dentures, you don't have to worry about losing fillings, etc. If you have crowns, I would suggest some temporary cement. I don't know why but I ALWAYS have a crown come off when I am on a hunting/camping trip many miles from home.

I also put together an eye kit which should work for anyone. It includes a small mirror (a must if you are alone), a few sterile Q-tips, saline solution, Visine, couple of gauze pads and an adhesive, oval commercial eye patch for more serious situations. Also contains a small but powerful magnet for foreign objects that may be magnetic. Eye first aid items seem to be overlooked in a lot of first aid kits, both commercial and home grown. <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Awesome tip on the eye kit. I am going to 'look' into that asap.

There is a good dental first aide kit on the Exploration Products site. www.epcamps.com

Epcamps kit contains a dental exam mirror, dental stick, toothbrush, floss, cotton-tipped applicators, oil of cloves for toothache relief, Cavit temporary filling material, aspirin, gauze pad...and they say more....the pic on the site doesn't show much more than that. I think toothpaste is included. All easily found elsewhere.
