I know there is a pocket book writen by Mr Wiseman, but I underdand it has a bit of material on gear selection.

What I have in mind is something about the size of the Pocket Ref, and would be 98% techniques. Space for a checklist, added by the user.

Does it exist? Or should I nudge the guys at Sequioa Press?

Probably a real good thing would be something called a survival calendar or pocket planner. Most of us have one with all those useless informations in the back, I would use that space and put in some useful survival info together with space for making notes. This way item will serve dual purpose and be an everyday use item instead of just in case item.

What about a survival book by Doug Ritter? I happen to think that would be a very good idea :-)
