It started with the Ritter Mini. Then a knifeforum member began collecting SAKs and knives for troops in Iraq. I knew I had a few knives lying around that would see better use in Iraq. So I went around the house, hunting closets, safes, cars, etc. and collected everything I have related to survival, 1st Aid, knives, etc. Holy crap! My pool table is covered. I'll be breaking it down into categories, such as 1st Aid, fire, shelter, tools, containers, etc.
I figure I need one good car kit, that can easily transfer from my car to my wife's van. Plus a smaller kit for her van, which would contain anything she's capable of using and perhaps some tools a "good semeritan" could help with. A field kit for hunting, an EDC/office kit, and lastly a home kit.
Having the young ones ranging from 13 years to 3 weeks old, makes it especially challenging. So that's my plan for next week. No boob tube for me.
