Had to get 4 wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. Now i'm on Vicoden, Amoxacilin, and Advil and I still feel like I was hit in the jaw by a 2x4. What's the shelf life of vicodin anyway?

My bottle says use by 6/28/2006 (one year from when it was filled), though I don't know the actual shelf life.

That's standard on all prescriptions, unless the shelf life is LESS than a year.

Anyways, don't plan on having any left over. You're probably going to need all of them, and then some. I've heard wisdom teeth extraction can be pretty nasty. I'm glad I've got 4 healthy ones and plenty of room for them, so I get to keep mine.

I FRACTURED a wizdom tooth, had it pulled, and took ONE vicodan, and one dose of Advil after that

Try having kidney stones..... The dose on those vicodans was larger. I've no passed 2 VERY small stones with NO pain killers

The again, I'n the guy who broke a finger as a kid, walked home, showed it to Mom and Dad, bent it at the break and said "I think it's broken"

I've got a 'scrip' for RA/OA pain relief, it'll take the edge off, but unless you take more than recommended, it doesn't totally get rid of the pain. Of course, the same can be said for most pain-killers... if you're talking serious pain.

Under ideal storage, about the year they say... shifting temp.s, light/air exposure, etc. all shorten that time period.

When I had mine pulled dentist gave me a scrip for some pain meds took one for the heck of it, but did'nt need them sat on a shelf in the meds chest in the bathroom. What he said goes. <img src="/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

Welcome to the club. I had all four of mine out at the same time, as well. I heart Vicodin. Why is it that only narcotics seem to really have an effect on tooth pain?
