I have 2 E2Es, a C2 and a G2. I have an E2E and I bought one for my wife. I have had it for a couple years and gone through about a dozen sets of batteries. The bulb still works fine. I have a spare but have not needed it. I was carrying it between my pants and my belt.

Be aware that the new E2Es are sharp on the bulb end. I’m not talking about the Defender. It has a scalloped edge that is sharp. Also, the knurling is very sharp and will wear holes in your clothes anywhere you clip the light. For this reason I have gone to the C2 and put a piece of bike inner tube on the knurled end. I would carry my G2 but I have not found a pocket clip for it. When I do I will switch to the G2.

I think the G2 is better than the E2E. But then I think the Glock is better than a 1911.
