IIRC, 60 minutes is the run time with a P60 head assy and a set of batteries, not the expected life of the bulb.
If it was, you would have to replace the head assy, each time you change the batteries.

I remember seeing a expected life of 30 hours, somewhere on the SF web site, but I can't find it anymore ...
