I own both. I use both. I like both.
My favorite, however, is the Vic MiniChamp, and I have room for just one more small minitool on my person. I'm sure you all have your favorite minitools.
If you had to choose between the Executive and the Micra, which one would you pick, and why?

Craig, I have not tried the Executive, but really love the Squirt series. The Squirt beats the Micra hands down. BTW, gave my ex the Minichamp, and she still has it 8 years later.

I've looked at the Squirt, but the pliers seem "off" to me, somehow. Even the pliers on the Swiss-Tech MicroPlus look better.
How do you know your ex still has the MiniChamp? Did you ask, or did you see her use it?

Well, if you need the scissors, I'd go with the Micra. My first knife was a Victorinox, and I still feel partial to them. But I never liked the little spring in the scissors. I also like the screwdrivers in the Micra. For a #2 or #3 phillips or pozi, thier flat phillips rocks, but it isn't so good for #1 screws.
And, I just got in Squirt EL today. (Ebay- the worlds' yard sale.) For the past couple of months, I've been using the scissors in my Micra as wire cutters, which they really aren't, so I broke down and got the proper tool. Feels good in the hand, but smaller. The file is much more possitive than that in the Micra, and I think I'll like the can openner better, but in all honesty, I'd much rather have the flat phillips out of the micra instead of the can opener and the phillips in the EL. THe tweezers, however, are better than what I've seen in Wengers or Victorinox
Not sure if it will replace my Micra on my key clip, or if it will go in the pouch with my versatool. Only few days eval will tell.

I have a squirt on my keychain and I love it. I use it daily, more than my Charge Ti and Wave combined.

Do you use it mostly for the scissors?

In other words, if you took the best parts of the Squirt EL and Micra and combined them together, you'd have the perfect minitool.

Yeah, but you'd still have to pick between the pliers and the scissors. Take two, the're small.

That's what we have to do, anyway. Minimultitools (or simply 'minitools') are compromises for regular-size multitools, which are themselves compromises for toolboxes.

She still has it on her keychain, saw it a few months ago. The pliers on the Squirt work well for me, a pair of hemostats and the Squirt handle most of my work related needs.
