Just saw this among the pile of stupid catalogs we get at home...National Geographic has laser flares on sale. Doug Ritter has a review of these units here on the site.

The Rescue Laser Flare that uses 2 N cells is on sale, $54.95 instead of the normal $99.95, and the Mini Rescue Laser Light that runs on a single 6-volt battery is $49.95, down from $89.95.

--I don't know if the regular size is already sold out or not...a search only brings up the mini, and even typing in the unit number from their catalog for the full-size unit (73636 for full-size...the mini is 73637) only brings up the mini.
