Over in the main section, my brain just did a "huh"? Even thought I've seen the Beacon Testing thread for weeks now, by brain read it as "Bacon Testing"

Yeah, I've gone camping with a large slab of well cured bacon - for a few seconds there, I thought I was going to read about how well different brands stored.

I wonder if I should go get some breakfast now......

I'm with you. But pan fried or bbqed because for example below device should be considered illigal in 53 states.

Ah! Bacon, beans, and bourbon--the staples of deer camp.

We had this slab of bacon in the freezer for ever. I left it out to thaw overnight. About 5 A. M. I smelled something akin to rotting wolley mammoth meat from Siberia. I grabbed the offending article and walked down to the dumpster half asleep in an antique silk kimono. Somebody had left their cute german shephard out. It grabbed the bacon. I got in a brief tug of war, worried about it's health. The dog won and trotted away after receiving a pat on the head. I walked back to my nephew's excited cries of " look at the coyote pack!" I looked out to see a mother and 3 nearly weaned 'yotes prancing away with my bacon. I suddenly had a overwhelming desire for loxs and bagels for breakfast
