I am not ashamed to admit when I am wrong and I think I need to go on record as retracting my statement about these kits being overpriced. I have recently been redoing my PSK and have looked at the contents a Dougs smaller kits as well as a couple other kits including Cody's and one from Pro Survival (the Master Pro Kit). After close inspection I find that the Master Pro, Pocket Pro and Belt Pro are all appropriately priced. As a matter of fact they are probably actually a bargain. I didnt really realize this however until looking very closely at the contents list. Since most of this stuff is stuff I have had laying around a while already, I forget what it cost me until I inventoried it all and I add it all up (as I recently did).

On a side note I am also impressed with the use of the SOG multi tool and optional RSK MK1. While this certainly drives up the price of the kit, it is a level of quality that I dont think I have ever seen in a completely preassembled commercially available kit before.

I'm not trying to kiss anyones behind here and I get nothing out of this posting. I just think what's fair is fair and since this is a public forum read by many people, when I am wrong I should admit it and give praise to those that earn it. BTW my new kit will probably greatly resemble the Master Pro when I am finished. Still trying to figure out how to cram all this stuff in a Maxpedition M-2.
