Immitation PSK????

Does this look a little strange to anyone else?? It just looks like a Ritter PSK knockoff...maybe its just bad pics but something just doesn't look kosher...buyer beware....

What makes you think it's a knockoff? It looks exactly the same to me, although it's not packed the same as the one I've got. And it's not any cheaper, I think that's about what I paid for mine.

From the enlarged version of the picture, you can read the top of the instruction sheet, which has the "Adventure Medical Kits" and "Equipped to Survive" logos. It does seem to have a different whistle than my kits, looks like a whistle I have tied to some life jackets, made by a Marine safety gear company called Orion I think. With the ETS logo on there, I think it's probably legit.

A lot of places dont mention ETS or Doug or anything about the kit. Most of the time they just list a content.

That's an image of an early prototype of the PSP. I have no clue why some companies can't seem to post a photo of the current kit, they are free from my sites, from AMK's site or direct from AMK at higher resolution. <sigh>

If its got anything other than the mini-fox ETS whistle in it, its a fake. Doug went to an incredible amount of trouble getting them to make whistles to his specs.

Maybe you can find out if they have old stock and get the PSKs with the original survival pencil <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
