I think this is an artifact of the server problems. When the system crashes, it can corrupt the database and we lose stuff. When they take time to recover using a backup, the older posts are there, but newer posts since the back-up are lost. Either way we lose. <~> One reason we are considering a small RAID array for the new server which would help some in this respect, but then we'd not be crashing either, hopefully, so...
