I'm not sure what this is - 50-pound lots of knives, clippers, bottle openers, etc. It says NTSA but it is sold by the state of Pennsylvania. I think $10-20 (+tax +s&h) might be a good deal for 100 Victorinox SAKs.

This sort of thing comes up quite a bit on ebay -- the tsa sells off all the stuff it collects at airport checkpoints. Most of the low and mid-quality knives are piled into big lots and sold off.

You expect to find Sebenzas in there? The TSA gets enough of my tax dollars to spend insulting and harrassing AIRLINE CUSTOMERS in the name of security. Then I pay for a flight with halcyon images of genteel air travel with Gerswin in the background and get something closer to a cross country bustrip with a Cincinnati retiree's group tour to Reno Nevada. they can kep their nailfiles and other WMDs.

This is a fast growing business for the NTSA and other agencies. What really bother's me is the 100% pure profit margin. Were do all the profits go - maybe they get donated to a local charity? Yeah right. I'm waiting for the senate hearing on the misappropriation of funds collected by these sales.

Now I understand the rant I read here the other day about the TSA. They slap you with a fine and then sell your property.
