The lip balm is probably vasoline or wax, both of which could be used. Maybe a spark could be made with a rock if it's a metal nail file! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Shirley did switch from funny cars to top fuel dragsters after a fire, but it was Don Garlits who invented the rear engined top fueler after he had an engine blow up in front of him. He decided that having the wind blow the fire away from him instead of into his face was good idea. AND NOW THE FIRST REAL USE FOR NAIL POLISH:

I dont know how bad it's in the US but over here speed camera's are becoming more than a pain in the bud. What drivers have discovered that transparent nail varnish/poilish reflects camera flashes very well when added to the rear number plate...use appropriately
