Most of us probably spend way more time in an urban environment than wilderness. While many of the skills are useful regardless of the location, some of the tools can be tuned for urban uses.
I have posted these links before but I have 2 articles on my Urban prep. Some people read these articles as a list of kit, but my main point was to evaluate MY risks and plan for those risks with tools and skills. Each person will have a different set of risks and plans.
Part I is my urban planning discussion and on-body kit.
Part II discusses my supplemental kits and plans.
I strongly encourage you to make a list of your expected or probable risks and plan around them. A bus schedule or city map and $10 may be much more valuable than a bunch of other items. Actually walking or riding the alternate routes home may be even better.
